Weds., Sept30th.....block pattern

Today, I had a pleasant surprise while reading the latest  "Knitting On The Net" newsletter.....  http://knittingonthenet.com/stitches/squaresinsquares.htm

Listed under "Knitting Stitch Patterns" was "Squares In Squares Stitch" which is the pattern used for the baby blankie that I purchased in early Sept.!  (See blankie pic below.)   I was thrilled to say the least!

Soon, I'll try this pattern out and then move on to making a blankie!

Happy Knitting!

Cloth using new pattern........

This cloth is named "End of the Rainbow".  Here's the link to the pattern: http://knittingonthenet.com/patterns/clothrainbow.htm

I chose another colorway (one of my favorites) by Bernat Handicrafter Cotton, "Tiara Ombre" one of my favorites.

The pattern is very easy to knit...rotating garter stitch panels of 5.

I'll be making more of this pattern later (in acrylic yarn) to add to my stash of 7x9" blocks for the afghans I'll soon be sewing together.  Stay tuned!

Have a great day!

Chippy visited..........

Usually there are birds at the birdfeeder outside my office window.  Or, an occasional squirrel.  Yesterday, there was a little chipmunk there so I snapped a quick pic through the screened window.  What a little cutie!  He was there again today.  Still haven't seen how he gets up there.  We have seen the squirrel do it....he jumps up from the ground!

A "community fair" purchase today......

As soon as I saw this baby blankie, I loved it.  Not that I actually "needed" a blankie, but I liked the pattern.  And, the best part, it was only $5.00!  I visualize this made up in a cozy, warm knit in a size large enough for an adult throw....hmmm.........
