Knitting........Shrug for grand-daughter (Sept. 08)

I adapted an adult-sized pattern for the "Kaya Cropped Shrug" for my 6-y/o grand-daughter. I used size 8 knitting needles and a light-weight worsted yarn. She saw it just prior to completion and loved it.

The pattern is from Crystal Palace Yarns. Here is the link to the pattern:

Knitting.............

I've been a knitter since about age 11 or 12. Also learned to crochet at about that age. My Mom taught me to crochet but the knitting I learned on my own. I find knitting to be so relaxing and peaceful which is one of the reasons that I do it nearly daily. I always have a couple projects (knit & crochet) going which can range anywhere from crocheted baby blankets, knitted washcloths or dishcloths, knitted baby clothing and sweaters for my grandchildren. These items are for gifts or charities. My grand-daughter is very happy when I make her clothing for her American Girl Bitty Baby doll.
